4-Hour Smile

Achieve a Healthy New Smile in Just 4 Hours!

Tooth loss can significantly impact your everyday life from the foods you eat to the way you feel about your smile. Many people who struggle with missing teeth choose dentures or bridges, but find them to be uncomfortable and wish for a healthier alternative. At Lubbock Dental Specialists, Dr. Graves and Dr. Wilkinson proudly offer 4-Hour Smile, a full-arch restoration treatment that restores one or both arches of teeth with a fixed, natural-looking, fully functioning prosthesis.

Through the 4-Hour Smile treatment, we can provide you with a healthy, fully functioning smile in just 4 hours. If you are missing many or all of your teeth, contact us in Lubbock or Amarillo, TX, to see how full-arch restoration can improve your smile, health, and confidence.

Why Choose Full-Arch Restoration?

4-Hour Smile is a type of full-arch restoration treatment, similar to the All-on-4® Treatment Concept and other full mouth dental implant procedures, that involves using multiple implants to support a fixed denture. Unlike removable dentures, which must be taken out to eat and brush, a fixed denture stays in your mouth at all times. Dental implants keep the jaw bone healthy through stimulation and fuse to the jaw bone, creating a sturdy foundation that enables you to enjoy your favorite foods again.

Benefits of Full-Arch Restoration

There are many more benefits to the 4-Hour Smile treatment, including:

  • Your new teeth are custom-made to look natural in your mouth.
  • There are no special cleaning products or dental adhesives necessary; simply brush and floss your new teeth to keep them clean and healthy.
  • Implant-supported dentures prevent bone loss, while removable dentures and bridges do not.
  • Enjoy apples, corn on the cob, steak, and your other favorite foods without worrying about removable appliances.
  • Regain confidence in your smile!

The 4-Hour Smile Procedure

The 4-Hour Smile is an outpatient procedure that will only take four hours. After that, you will leave our office with a brand new smile.

At the consultation appointment, we will take 3D scans of your mouth to evaluate your oral health. Dr. Graves or Dr. Wilkinson will work with you to create a custom treatment plan to restore your smile and discuss your anesthesia options for surgery. If bone loss has occurred, we may recommend bone grafting to rebuild the jaw and ensure a solid foundation for the dental implants.

During surgery, we will administer the anesthesia and wait for it to take effect. Your oral surgeon will extract any remaining teeth in the dental arch and place the dental implants. The amount of dental implants you need will depend on the condition of your jaw bone, although some patients require as few as four implants. After the implants are inserted, we will attach a temporary prosthesis and your surgery will be complete. In some cases, we can attach the final prosthesis if it is ready.

Over the next few months, your implants will fuse to the jaw bone. If a temporary prosthesis was attached, you will see your restorative dentist to receive your final prosthesis after the implants have healed. With your final teeth attached, you can enjoy your new, fully functioning smile that looks and feels just like healthy, natural teeth.

Types of Anesthesia

There are many anesthesia and sedation options available to you.
